Stretch Pose in Kundalini Yoga is a fundamental posture for strengthening the navel center (third chakra), boosting self-esteem, and resetting the nervous system. It involves lying on your back, raising the head, arms, and legs 6 inches off the ground, gazing at the toes, and practicing Breath of Fire.

How to Perform Stretch Pose:

Position: Lie on your back, legs straight, arms by your sides.

Lift: Raise your head, shoulders, and legs about 6 inches (15 cm) off the ground.

Alignment: Point your toes, stretch your arms forward, and focus your gaze on your toes.

Breath: Begin Breath of Fire (rapid, equal, rhythmic nasal breathing).

Duration: Hold for 1–3 minutes.

Ending: Inhale deeply, hold the breath and tense the body, then exhale and relax.

Key Tips & Modifications:
Lower Back Support: If your back hurts, place your hands under your buttocks for support.
Alternatives: If the full pose is too intense, you can start by lifting only one leg at a time, keeping the other on the ground.
Contraindications: Do not perform Breath of Fire while pregnant or menstruating; use long, deep breathing instead.
Thpose is often used in "waking up" sets to immediate ativate energy and is known to help break bad habits.
