Throwback to last week’s snowstorm — and a huge shoutout to our very own Nurse Manager, Robert Stern!

In the midst of the elements, Rob clipped into his skis and headed to our cardiac cath and inpatient unit to be there for his patients and team.

We’re beyond grateful to work alongside the most dedicated talent here at Northwell Health and Rob’s commitment is the perfect example of the unwavering care and leadership that defines our culture.

Happy 103rd birthday to Vija Vetra!

Vija is spending some time at our inpatient unit down in the West Village at Northwell's Greenwich Village Hospital so naturally our team made sure her 103rd trip around the sun would not be forgotten.

Naturally we had to ask about her secret to longevity, Vija kept things simple: "Always be curious, keep your inner child, and find happiness in the little things in life. I also eat mostly a vegetarian diet."

Kevin P. Browne, DNP, RN, CNS, FNAP, CCRN: Appointed the Dr. Ning Zhao Chair of Nursing at Lenox Hill Hospital, endowed by the Ge Li and Ning Zhao Family Foundation. Dr. Browne has been a nurse for 38 years and is vice president and chief nursing officer across Northwell’s 3 Manhattan campus hospitals — Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital and Northwell Greenwich Village Hospital.
