Quadruple board certification doesn’t happen overnight.
Dr. Hooman Khorasani’s advanced training in Dermatology, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Cosmetic Surgery, and Facial Cosmetic Surgery represents more than 23,000 hours of specialized clinical and surgical experience — all completed after undergraduate and medical school education.
His journey began at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he graduated summa cm laude with a bachelor’s degree in Physiological Sciences.
He then earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California, graduating with highest distinction and in the top 5% of his class.
To refine his reconstructive expertise, Dr. Khorasani completed:
• A General Surgery internship at Los Angeles County USC Medical Center
• A research fellowship in Plastic Surgery at USC, focused on minimal-scar wound repair
• 3 years of Dermatology training at New York Medical College Metropolitan Hospital, where he was appointed Chief Resident
• An advanced fellowship in Procedural Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, with intensive training in oncologic, dermatologic, and cosmetic surgery
