Many patients think you need a lot of body fat to get a BBL, but that’s not always the case. In skinny BBL patients, I carefully harvest fat from the areas available and use precise fat transfer techniques to enhance the buttocks.

The key is understanding that a smaller patient needs less fat to create shape and projection. Even a small amount of fat, when placed correctly, can create a beautiful, natural-looking result.

Many patients ask about the best timing for a tummy tuck, especially in relation to future pregnancies. While it’s common to recommend waiting until all pregnancies are complete, every patient’s situation is unique.

At New York Surgical Arts, my approach is personalized. Most of the time, I do recommend waiting—but if a patient is unhappy with her body and ready for a change, I may perform a tummy tuck to restore confidence and body shape, even if she’s not done having children.

And if she does get pregnant again, there’s always a way to address any changes surgically, including the possibility of another tummy tuck if needed. My goal is always natural, beautiful results that prioritize safety, balance, and patient satisfaction.
