A little over a year ago, I had the honor of supporting twin sisters as they each welcomed their beautiful babies into the world, one baby girl and one baby boy (pictured). Recently, I got to see them again — happy, thriving, and full of love. Watching these moms grow into their motherhood journey and seeing their little ones one year later was such a joy. 💕 Moments like this remind me what a gift it is to walk alongside families during such a special season.

Finding someone you can trust with your whole heart during the vulnerable postpartum period is rare. Sharonda has been that person and more. Her warmth and wisdom created a sanctuary during those challenging early days. After an unplanned c-section, her hug was a lifeline. And her intuitive understanding of our needs as new parents, coupled with her expertise in newborn care, made all the difference.
She has offered us a fountain of knowledge, guiding us through breastfeeding, baby care, and postpartum health issues and sharing helpful resources with us. Her ability to soothe our baby was nothing short of magical. Our baby adores her. We felt complete peace of mind leaving our little one in her care. And the extra sleep we were able to get helped us to show up better as parents.
It’s difficult to accurately express our gratitude in words. We’ve been truly lucky to have found such an extraordinary caregiver in Sharonda. Our family - including our pets :) - is going to miss her regular presence, but we know that she’ll always have a special place in our lives and our hearts.

Sharonda is an angel who flew in at the last minute to help my husband and I care for our newborn. We hired a different doula 6 months before our expected due date, but she canceled the day before we came home . After a 3 day induction, unplanned c-section and 6 days in the hospital, I was devastated.
Despite having a full schedule Sharonda agreed to help. She arrived on our second night home, sat and listened to our worries then promptly sent us to bed. I suspect Sharonda stayed up all night rocking and comforting our fussy little girl but she allowed us to sleep as much as possible, only waking me to breast feed when needed. She was incredibly gentle and kind with our baby, and so supportive during my challenging days postpartum. I had many issues with breastfeeding and Sharonda had helpful tips that helped me double my milk production per pumping session. Even after her shift was over Sharonda checked in via text, and sent helpful links.
We only had Sharonda for 3 days but she left us with expert advice that made parenthood easier.
We subsequently had overnight support from 2 other doulas, but none of them came close to Sharonda’s level of skill and care. She has our highest recommendation.

Sharonda is an incredible resource and was a life saver for us, during our baby’s weeks 4-8. A few things stood out:
- Instantly I knew we were in good hands- she is calm and composed, and I can tell she has infinite patience. I knew I didn’t have to worry about her losing her patience or anything, no matter how fussy my baby was.
- She’s a great listener. I appreciated how we would start every overnight shift with any questions I had and reviewing my day. Oftentimes I would mention something in passing, and then she would come back the next day, with a few suggestions or follow up questions.
- I appreciate her feedback and suggestions! I can tell she was genuinely interested in helping improve my own well being post partum, from things like encouraging me to figure out the baby carrier to teaching me how to wean contact naps.
- I appreciate how she was very supportive and non judgmental. I can tell she was very mindful of the parents’ boundaries and not wanting to come off as if there was only one right way to do things.

Sharonda is amazing and any family would be so lucky to have her!
