Why celebrate Beltane?
Because this is the moment the Earth throws herself open—alive, awakening, pulsing with possibility.
The frozen waters have broken free and begun to run again.

There may still be a whisper of frost, but warmth is rising, undeniable. And just like the Earth, we move in tides—ebb and flow, contraction and release.

Beltane is the celebration of that flow: regeneration, rebirth, renewal, and remaking. It’s a living reminder that you hold the power to recreate—to co-create—your life again and again.

At its heart, Beltane honors union. The sacred joining of man and woman, sky and Earth, above and below. It’s the great meeting point where opposites don’t clash—they merge, they harmonize, they become something new. And right at the center of that symbolism stands the maypole… a reflection of you.

You are the axis. You stand between heaven and soil, rooted and reaching all at once. Your feet grounded in the Earth, your spirit stretching into the sky. Just like the maypole—anchored below, rising above—you are the bridge.

So what will you do with that power?

Dress your maypole in colors that feel alive—bright, bold, irresistible. Colors that speak, that stir something in you. Let them be lush, vibrant, unapologetic. This is a season of richness, of ripening, of passion beginning to burn. The fire of summer is coming—but right now, it glows within. This is the heat of connection, of creation, of intimacy—with your partner, your community, the land, and yourself.

Beltane is both collective and deeply personal. It is the dance of many, and the awakening of one.

As you weave the ribbons, don’t do it absentmindedly—infuse it with intention. With every crossing, every turn, give it a thought. A desire. A truth you want to anchor into your life. Speak it, feel it, breathe it into the movement. Let each ribbon carry a piece of your becoming.

And when the weaving reaches the base—when it finally meets the Earth—those intentions don’t just end.

They root.

They take hold.

They begin to grow.

Spring is cool, damp, and heavy.
So we balance the opposite.

Light meals.
Bitter greens.
Pungent spices.
Warming teas.
Steamed vegetables over fried foods.
Brothy soups over heavy dairy.
Warm grains instead of cold leftovers.

Why does this matter?

When we eat with the seasons, we help the body release what winter stored.
Digestion becomes lighter, energy rises, and the body naturally resets for the months ahead.

This isn't a new wellness trend.

It's how humans have eaten for generations, simply following nature's cues.

Spring invites us to lighten; the body, the kitchen, and the plate.

Disconnected anxiety--Do a slow body scan from your head to your toes. You belong here, in your body, now. Notice what things, people, circumstances around you now DO feel like a fit, and orient toward that. You are Connected.

Frictive anxiety--Lie down on a hard floor, and preferably ask someone to lie on you and give you all their weight. This will give you the sense that you are safe so you can stop futzing, let go and feel Spacious.

Symbiotic anxiety--Find a wall and push against it with all your might, making guttural noises. This embodiment of power will shift your internal state from beta to alpha, so you finally feel Autonomous and safe to firm up and be yourself around others.

Constricted anxiety--Lay on your back on the ground and prop your legs up over the side of a couch. Breathe into your lower belly and gently relax the holding in there. Allow your natural impulses to come alive. You can become more Instinctive. Your body will not get you in trouble in the way you had imagined, in fact it will set you free.

Squashed anxiety--Put your shoulders down, stand taller and shine brighter. The beauty and power you embody is a gift to others and not a threat. When you are self-loving, erect and Radiant, you may not always be liked, but you will always be respected.

Premature anxiety--You have needs, just like everybody else. You imagine you're a bottomless pit of hunger, but in fact, you are easy to feed-- grateful for every morsel. Try asking for what you need then practice being receptive so you can become Nourished.

5 SIMPLE WAYS TO REDUCE INFLAMMATION

Stabilize Blood Sugar First:
Blood sugar swings are one of the fastest ways to drive inflammation. Prioritizing protein, healthy fats, and timing your meals can calm the inflammatory cascade before it starts.

Use Fasting as a Reset, Not a Stressor:
Strategic fasting gives your body space to repair, but overdoing it can increase inflammation. Listen to your hormones and fast in a way that supports, not exhausts, your system.

Choose Anti-Inflammatory Fats:
Omega-3s from foods like wild fish, olive oil, and avocados help turn down inflammatory signals and support cell membrane health.

Support Your Nervous System Daily:
Chronic stress keeps inflammation turned on. Simple practices like breathwork, quality sleep, and slowing down between meals tell the body it's safe to heal.

Eat Foods That Calm, Not Aggravate:
Focus on whole, unprocessed foods and pay attention to how your body responds. Inflammation often decreases when you stop eating what irritates your system.

Are we what we see?
Every moment that we are alive, we are between the known and the unknown.
The known before us and the unknown of where we're actually stepping to next.
Yes we 'see' what's in front of us. Right?
