Of course it’s easier said than done, but lowering stress should be a top priority in all our lives. Not only for skin health but for mental and physical health.

Stress doesn’t just live in your mind, it also reflects in your skin. When cortisol spikes, it triggers inflammation, slows healing, weakens the skin barrier, and can cause breakouts, dullness, and flare-ups of eczema or rosacea. Stressed skin is skin that’s working overtime just to survive. The solution in my experience is: rest, exercise, nourishing food, and a skincare routine that strengthens and repairs. Of course a facial too! Your mind will thank you and so will your skin.
