Planning a stay or retreat here? Here’s what we recommend to bring.

It’s hot, wild, beautiful, and your packing should match the vibe. 😎☀️🌊🏝️

- Clothing: come prepared for hot tropical weather
- Sandals/flip flops & good shoes for walking, water shoes optional.
- Sunglasses & hats for shade
- Bathing suit & beach towel
- Refillable water bottle
- Bug repellent (we like Picaradin!)
- Sunscreen
- Flashlight
- A journal and something to write with
- Earplugs if you are sound sensitive

El Triángulo was designed by Raúl Fernández, a pioneer of ecological architecture on the Oaxacan coast, and styled by Taller Lu’um, a Mexico City studio that blends artisan tradition with contemporary design.

Every line, texture, and detail was created to support rest, creativity, and connection with nature.

We designed El Triángulo to be low-impact not because it’s trendy, but because it’s necessary.

🌞 Hot water is heated by the sun
🌱 Toilets are dry composting (saving ~6,600 gallons of water a year)
♻️ Rainwater is captured and filtered naturally
🍃 Fans, not A/C (except in the studio) > because the breeze does the rest

Living lightly with the land isn’t always convenient.
But it’s always worth it.

We proudly serve coffee from Finca Las Nieves ( ), our favorite coffee on earth, grown nearby and featured in our in-house catering during retreats.

They recently won “Taza de Excelencia México” one of the most distinguished awards for coffee in the country.

One of our retreat guests’ favorite local excursions is to a traditional temazcal lead by at our good friend’s regenerative agriculture school .mx

Amakura’s owner Nataniel is our dear friend who built our house, and has been a massive inspiration to us in our journey. Amakura has an epic natural pool as well as many other structures and agricultural projects that will expand your mind to the possiblities of living with nature.

They’re a regenerative farm producing pasture-raised eggs and chicken, organic fruits + vegetables, and fresh buffalo dairy.
