The past few years have brought change to the way we work, with hybrid and full remote schedules becoming the norm. In turn we've seen a noticeable increase in workout-related injuries. With less commuting and so much more time now being spent stationary, your body needs a greater warm-up than it did before to handle working out.

Plan a 15 to 20 minute warm up for every hour of exercise you plan to do, especially if you're working remotely. Going straight from sitting for an extended period of time into a strenuous workout can lead to injury. Here are some more tips for a safe and enjoyable home workout:
1. Prioritize working out in the morning if your schedule allows. It will energize you and lift your mood, making it the perfect start to a work day. Alternatively, the early afternoon is just as good.
2. Avoid working out during the heat of the day which is usually around 3PM. Working out during this time (especially outdoors) can be taxing on the cardiovascular and respiratory systems while also increasing the risk of dehydration.
