Center 4 Play Therapy

Center 4 Play Therapy The goal of my play therapy work is to foster healing in children, help them to grow emotionally, an During play therapy, we let the child lead the session.

The overall goal of my play therapy work is to foster healing in children, help them to grow emotionally, and allow them the opportunity to thrive in everyday life. We at Center4PlayTherapy take the stance that successful therapy must be an inclusive approach – addressing all aspects of the child’s life, including home, school, and community. We believe that parents play a vital role as partners towards their child’s mental health. we work with parents regardless of their marital status, believing we share the same. The “child-centered” approach in play therapy helps children communicate their inner experiences through the use of play. Our practice is guided by the belief that children are capable of directing their own process. We believe that therapy has to be an organic process driven by the needs and comfort level of the child.

If you always do things for them, they'll never learn.
Right?
Not always, in my opinion.

Recently, my daughter was out sick for a few days.
A test was coming up and she was getting extremely nervous.
She had missed a few days of studying and was really tense.
We spoke about it, and I suggested:

What if I could get you a few more days?
I called the teacher,
and easily got her an extension.

She was so relieved.

"What happened to teaching her to grow up?" You might ask.

There's a time and place for everything. Sometimes, the lesson our children need is that they have our support.

It's our job to have the wisdom to know the difference 😀
