Dear Dancing Sprites:

Think about the Issac Newton's first law of motion:

A body in motion wants to stay in motion
A body at rest wants to stay at rest

Another way to think about this might be human bodies want more of whatever will make us feel we are in homeostasis. When we are moving and moving feels good, we want to keep moving. When we are resting and that feels good, we want to stay resting.

Add to this the fact that moving is SOOOO very good for us and the more we move, the more we will want to move and the less we will have to fight our natural inertia.

Sooooo.....let's move!

Dear Dancing Sprites:
One of the themes I love working with is Magic. If you've danced with me in the past, you've likely heard me share about what magical beings I believe we humans are. This concept can seem airy fairy, I know. Yet, there is empirical evidence for this fact. Just look at our trajectory from early humans to now. We are continuously evolving, creating, deepening and experimenting. We are magical beings indeed. The 5Rhythms® offers us the opportunity for deep self-exploration through movement. Soooo, the invitation in tomorrow's class is to dance your magical self. What does this mean? It means what you want it to mean. You are magical. This is an invitation, not a prescription, so it this does not appeal come and dance to the theme of your making.

So..... on this 7th day (tomorrow is 2/7/24) We will dance with the power of 7. Seven is concerned a potent number in many parts of the world and in many traditions.
