I so appreciate the many guys I've worked with who come to therapy reluctantly, and end up experiencing honest emotions and talking about things they've avoided - and walk out feeling strong, proud and more comfortable with themselves.

It’s okay to:
✅ Feel insecure
✅ Ask for help
✅ Cry
✅ Be vulnerable

Men deserve the full range of human emotions — and the support to navigate them.

I don't post about politics, but I do appreciate the variety of perspectives and Tangle's "take" on things. We need to do our best to hear and understand each other... a lot of people are feeling very stressed this year, and misinformation makes it worse!

Tangle News is an independent, nonpartisan politics channel that summarizes the best arguments from the right, left and center on the big debates of the day.

Paying tribute to Rosalyn Carter, who made mental health a concern and priority from around 1966 until the present day. I haven't yet read her 2010 book "Within Our Reach: Ending the Mental Health Crisis", but I admire her advocacy and tenacity for life, and of course her love story. Rest in Peace

Rosalynn Carter's advocacy for mental health began in 1966 during her husband’s first campaign for Georgia governor

Delighted to share my recent blog for ACEP, covering David Feinstein's conference keynote, where he spoke about using Energy Psychology with communities in crisis.

Energy Psychology is an effective set of tools that can help a community in crisis. At ACEP's 2023 conference, David Feinstein explained how.

September is a month for su***de awareness and prevention. Did you know that having thoughts about su***de is not the same as wanting to die? That talking about it is not going to increase someone's risk? NAMI offers a free drop-in group where you can talk and ask questions, and generally not feel so weird if you have these thoughts.

It's ok to talk about su***de. About 12.2 million adults have thoughts of su***de. This peer-led support group is a safe space to talk about what it's like to have those thoughts, how to manage them, and find community. 1st & 3rd Tuesday, 6:30 to 8pm ET.
