Closing out 2022 with my beautiful 37 year-old patient who flew in from Florida to undergo a complex revision rhinoplasty. Here she is only 1 week after a revision rhinoplasty and small chin implant. She had a previous rhinoplasty almost 18 years ago that left her unable to breathe, severely crooked nose, residual nasal bump and asymmetric nasal tip. Using rib cartilage, I was able to straighten her nose, improve her breathing, take down her nasal bump, and reshape her tip. I also added a small feminine chin implant to further balance her facial features. I’m so happy she can finally breathe and loves the way it looks! Looking forward to many more happy patients in 2023! #revisionrhinoplasty #rhinoplasty #nosejob #chinimplant #chinaugmentation #genioplasty #plasticsurgery #plasticsurgeon #nycplasticsurgeon #newyorkcity #newyorkplasticsurgeon #newyorkfacialplasticsurgery
Which plastic surgery procedures do you consider trendy?
While fashion trends may come and go, plastic surgery trends can be difficult to correct or even worse, be permanent. Buccal fat pad removal has become a trendy operation as having a slimmer lower face sounds very appealing. While I think buccal fat removal is indeed a great operation when performed in select patients, it can result in a very unnatural appearance when performed in the wrong patient or when overzealous removal is performed. This can result in an unnatural hollowness in the lower face that is difficult to correct and will likely worsen with age. My goal is to perform surgery that is safe, timeless, and ages gracefully with my patients.

I am honored to have wonderful patients! My top priority as a plastic surgeon is establishing a strong relationship with my patients. We have an open, honest dialogue about their goals, discuss options, and make a personalized plan to achieve them. I always want my patients to feel as comfortable as possible before, during, and after surgery or a procedure. The doctor-patient relationship is a lifelong bond that I cherish dearly.

Wondering if you are a good candidate for a blepharoplasty (eyelid lift)?
Most people seeking a blepharoplasty have excess skin that makes them appear tired or may even impair their vision.
A blepharoplasty not only improves the appearance of the eyelids but can also rejuvenate the areas surrounding the eyes.
During your consultation, we will formulate YOUR personalized treatment plan TOGETHER.

Wondering if you are a good candidate for a mommy makeover?
Most women seeking a mommy makeover desire to restore the shape and appearance after childbearing.
While many people will refer to these procedures as “cosmetic” I would argue that they are reconstructive or restorative. Having children is beautiful but can often take a toll on a woman’s body. Unfortunately, there isn’t a non-surgical option to fix a large muscle separation (diastasis) in the abdomen or to tighten up a significant amount of loose skin. Surgery is often the only option to repair the muscles and remove loose skin. Same goes for droopy breasts.

Wondering if you are a good candidate for a facelift?!
Most women seeking a facelift are bothered by their jowls, loose neck skin, and overall facial volume loss.
A facelift is so much more than pulling the skin tight. It involves tightening the deeper SMAS layer as well as the platysma muscle in neck. Facial volume is restored using your own fat and placed meticulously through specific anatomical compartments. Finally, skin resurfacing with a laser or chemical peel will improve the fine superficial lines and skin texture.

Wondering if you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty?!
There are ✌️ characteristics that identify you as a great candidate for this procedure.
1. You dislike the appearance of your nose (hump, bulbous tip, wide nostrils etc).
2. You have difficulty breathing
Many patients experience BOTH of these. During your consultation, we will formulate YOUR personalized treatment plan TOGETHER.

Reconstructive Rhinoplasty after Skin Cancer Removal
Here is my 53-year-old patient who required reconstructive rhinoplasty after skin cancer removal. I performed a forehead flap which is a 2-stage operation.
In the first stage, the forehead tissue is brought down to the nasal defect while it is still attached to the forehead. After several weeks, the skin flap is divided, the brow is put back, and the nose is further contoured.
I find these cases to be very interesting as they require creative thinking and aesthetic finesse! I’m so happy I was able to help restore her appearance after such a traumatic situation.

Body Contouring Surgery: Before & After
This is my wonderful 63-year-old patient who lost a significant amount of weight from weight loss surgery and as a result had lots of excess skin. I performed a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and a breast lift (mastopexy).
Removing loose skin after significant weight loss is one of the most gratifying surgeries I perform. The patient is at the end of a long and grueling journey (often lifelong!) and deserves to look as good as they feel!

Facelift: Before & After
This is my beautiful 48-year-old patient who was bothered by her lower face and neck—specifically, her jowls, neck bands, and loose skin.
I performed a face and neck lift with fat transfer, and did a 40% TCA peel.
She now has a sharp jawline, improved facial volume and no more neck bands. She now looks as young and vibrant as she feels!

Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty: Before & After
This is my 60 year-old patient who was bothered by her droopy and tired appearing upper and lower eyelids. She also did not like her lower eyelid bags. I removed excess skin and fat from her upper and lower eyelids followed by fat transfer to the areas around her eyes. She now looks rested and refreshed!

Rhinoplasty - Bedore & After
This is my beautiful 35 year-old female who is now 3 months after a rhinoplasty (nose job).
Preoperatively, she felt her nose was too long and overprojected (stuck too far out from her face) and had difficulty breathing (collapsed left nostril with inspiration).
I brought her nasal tip back closer to her face, shortened her nose, and used cartilage to provide a strong structural framework to prevent her left nostril from collapsing.
I am so happy that her breathing is significantly improved and that I was able to deliver the aesthetics of the nose she desired.

Mommy Makeover !
This is my 47 year-old patient, mother of three children, who underwent a “mommy makeover.” She had an extended tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) with liposuction and a breast lift (mastopexy).
She is shown here 8 months after surgery.
I pay special attention to creating the most natural appearing bellybutton and minimizing noticeable scarring. These are critical components of a great tummy tuck result!

Rhinoplasty: Before & After
This is my beautiful 32 year-old patient who is now 5 months after a rhinoplasty (nose job). She was already beautiful and had only minor complaints.
Preoperatively, she had a small dorsal hump with an over-projected and bulbous tip.
I took down her hump and refined her nasal tip while bringing it back (closer to her face) to better match her beautiful face!

*Secondary Facelift*
This is my beautiful 70 year-old patient who had a facelift 9 years ago and more recent non-invasive skin tightening treatments. She had some stigmata of a primary facelift including ear and cheek deformities.
She had recurrent skin laxity of her neck and jowls and desired a more defined neck and jawline. She had significant scar tissue from her previous surgery and recent skin tightening procedures.
She is shown here 3 months after a face and neck lift with facial fat transfer.

This is my beautiful 63 year-old patient who had basal cell skin cancer requiring Mohs surgery.
I performed her nasal reconstruction using her own septal cartilage to reconstruct the structural component of her tip followed by a forehead flap to reconstruct her internal lining and large skin defect. She is shown here 6 months after the initial surgery.
Some of the most rewarding cases I get to do are facial reconstructive surgeries on skin cancer patients.
