Good posture isn't about discipline; it's about balance. Your nervous system is constantly working to keep you safe and upright. Understanding this dynamic can transform how you approach posture.

Discover how your nervous system maintains balance, explained with a circus plate analogy. Clear internal relationships create effortless balance, while unclear ones require conscious effort. Understand the key to staying steady.

If posture feels like work,
You’re probably missing movement where it matters most. The middle back doesn’t need to be forced. It needs to be invited. When it moves, the rest of the body organizes itself.

Moshe Feldenkrais defines good posture as being ready to move in any direction without hesitation or preparation.

It's about having the best information to help make moving easier, not just trying harder. A better approach to how we use our bodies.

If you want to understand what actually works — and why holding your shoulders back never lasts — comment “VIDEO” and I’ll send you the full video link.

Want to improve your posture for good? Stop focusing on correction and start educating your nervous system about how your body actually works. Key insight: it starts with the middle back.

Today feels like one of those beautiful overlap moments.

For some, today is the last day of Chanukah.
For others, Christmas is coming soon.
For some, it arrives in January.
For others, this season holds different holidays, rituals, or quiet meaning.

Different calendars.
Different traditions.
Same human need for light, rest, connection, and hope.

May whatever you celebrate—or simply pause for—bring you a little more warmth, a little more ease in your body, and a little more kindness toward yourself and others.

Wishing you peaceful holidays, in all their forms.

Most knee pain doesn’t come from damage.
It often comes from everyday movements we repeat without thinking — until they start irritating the knee.

In this short video, I explain why that happens and what actually helps.

If this resonates, I put together a short guide called Stop Angry Knees that walks you through the most common movement habits that strain knees — and what to do instead.

✨ Why Movement Is the Worst Thing Ever (Week 1)

A completely serious, highly scientific breakdown of why awareness, better movement, and happy knees are clearly dangerous to your comfort zone.

Enjoy the laugh — your knees will too.

Every Black Friday, the world goes a little bit crazy.

We line up for gadgets, TVs, and “must-have” things that will be outdated in a year or two.

But here is what I ask my patients, my students, and sometimes myself:
What if your best deal of the year was not something you plug in
But the body you live in?

For more than thirty years, I have watched people wait until pain becomes impossible to ignore before taking their knees, hips, and backs seriously.

Not because they do not care, but because life is busy and discomfort can feel “normal” after a certain age.

Then one day, it is not so normal:
The knee that used to be a little stiff suddenly hurts on every step.
Getting down to the floor to play with a grandchild feels risky.
A favorite walk, dance, or sport becomes something you “used to do.”

Black Friday will not fix any of that.

You will.

But a good Black Friday offer can remove another barrier and make it easier to start.

When your knee finally settles and the irritation calms, the next step is retraining how you pivot. This is where many people create unnecessary stress and twist through the joint without realizing it.

A safer path is to rebuild this skill gradually.

Start with socks on a low-friction surface like kitchen tiles. Hold on to a counter for support so your balance feels steady while your foot can glide. First practice pivoting around the ball of the foot. Let the thigh, knee, shin, and the whole leg move as one unit.

Then practice pivoting around the heel with the same idea.

Then both legs. Learn how to bear weight and pivot without twisting.

Eventually you may progress to full weight-bearing on one leg with a smooth swivel and no knee strain.

Small steps. Clear awareness. Better choices for your knees.
