5th Annual Easterseals Disability Film Challenge
Celebrating its fifth anniversary, the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge gives filmmakers—with and without disabilities—the opportunity to collaborate and tell unique stories that showcase disability in its many forms. Each year, aspiring storytellers receive a prompt to creatively write, produce and complete a short film over a single weekend.
The Challenge serves as the world’s preeminent film competition with a purpose of expanding the conversation on disability in entertainment, and receives widespread support from the entertainment industry.Challenge winners receive invaluable access to entertainment professionals, opening the door to a notoriously difficult industry to enter. Many past participants credit the challenge for creating greater opportunities in the entertainment industry.
This virtual challenge allows filmmakers from around the world to participate. Registration for the 2018 film challenge is now open, and will remain open until a few days prior to the challenge’s launch in mid-April. Winners will be announced at red carpet event at United Talent Agency in Beverly Hills on May 10. Learn more at disabilityfilmchallenge.com.
