Nutrition science is ever-evolving as we continue to research and learn more. But above all, it has to keep in mind how to better the health of the general population in realistic, sustainable ways.
Not only is this new pyramid flawed and contradictory, but it’s also difficult to conceptualize and doesn’t take into account issues of food access or affordability.
Food is NOT as simple as just “eat real food!” Enjoyment and access are major aspects too.
