This science backed technique recommended by a neuroscientist affirms what all well trained and experienced hypnotists have known forever. It's nice when science recognizes or provides evidence as to what's been working for hundreds of years, in this case and thousands of years in some other cases.

Just remember that if something hasn't been proven yet, has no bearing on whether it's valuable and works absent the proof. It's can be just a lack of testing properly or lack of the proper tools for testing. Or it could also mean that it doesn't work consistently, or not at all. You be the judge.
