Checking in on your neighbors is one of the most human things we can do for each other. 🫂

That is what one of our Home Health Aides Colleen did for Irene during the last snowstorm. Irene lives by herself and Colleen normally cares for her from Tuesday to Thursday. But Colleen was concerned about Irene and decided to check up on her that Sunday. “How could I sit at home, knowing the condition my client is in and not go to help?” Colleen made sure Irene was fed well, dressed, and cleaned up before showing up again the next day.

Colleen, your commitment is what makes our neighbors feel seen and heard. Thank you for amazing work and caring spirit! ❤️

Congratulations to the NYS Association of Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Legislators on an outstanding 55th Annual Legislative Conference.

We were proud to join leaders from across New York in celebrating this year’s honorees, Gala Keynote Speaker Derrick Johnson, President & CEO of the NAACP, and Dr. Hazel N. Dukes Legacy of Leadership Award recipient Karen Boykin-Towns, Vice Chair of the NAACP National Board of Directors and a member of the VNS Health Board.

Karen’s leadership and lifelong commitment to equity and community uplift reflect the values that guide VNS Health’s work across New York. We are grateful for her voice, her service, and her partnership.

At NYSABPRHAL’s 55th Annual Legislative Conference, VNS Health Board Member Karen Boykin-Towns shared a powerful reminder of what community-based care truly means for families and for New York.

For generations, VNS Health has met New Yorkers where they are, in their homes and communities, delivering care with compassion, dignity, and respect. As conversations about healthcare continue across our state, we remain committed to serving those who need us most.

Thank you to Letitia James, Andrea Stewart-Cousins , Crystal D. Peoples-Stokes, NYS Assemblywoman, Jessica González-Rojas, Lea Webb, Grace Lee, Assemblywoman Michaelle C. Solages, Chantel Jackson, and Assemblywoman Latrice M. Walker for your leadership.
