This is an 18 month result after tear trough filler with 1cc of restylane. While I’m a big believer in lower eyelid surgery, I also believe there is a role for nonsurgical treatment, particularly in those people who have a medical contraindication to surgery or for those who are not ready to accept the risks and recovery of surgery. Common belief is that hyaluronic acid fillers are absorbed by approximately 1 year post-treatment, but for better or for worse, results can last much longer. It’s fairly common for me to turn down patients for re-treatment at 1 year, as they are still appropriately volumized
