What is kidney? Kidneys are pair of bean- shaped organs located in the abdomen responsible for filtering waste and excess fluid from the blood, producing urine, and regulating various bodily functions.

The kidneys are located in the back of your abdomen cavity , on either side of ur spine, just below ur rib cage
Stages of kidneys we have stage 1-5 the stage 5 is called or refers as kidney failure also known as( ESRD) meaning end stage renal disease.

FUNCTION OF KIDNEYS (1) Filtration: the kidneys the filter about a half -cuo of blood every minute take note of that whereby removing waste products like urea and creatinine, as well as excess water and electrolytes.

The meaning of electrolytes are minerals in your blood and other body fluids that carry an electric charge

Examples of electrolytes are sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium, magnesium and phosphate in a liquid phase.

(2)Urine production is another function of kidney, here the filtered waste and excess fluid are collected and excreted as urine.

(3) Hormone production:they produce hormones like erythropoietin, which stimulate red blood cells production, and renin, which helps regulate blood pressure.
