At Camp Calm, we offer a warm, supportive therapeutic group experience designed specifically for children ages 8–12 who are feeling overwhelmed by worry. Our program is led by licensed child therapists specializing in anxiety management.

Time: 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Location: The Center for Child Development (CCD)
Duration: Four weekly sessions beginning

· June 11, 2025

· June 18, 2025

· June 25, 2025

· July 2, 2025

Cost: (Most insurance plans accepted)

Common Challenges We Address:

Thought Patterns:

· Constant “what if” thinking and worst-case scenarios

· Fear of making mistakes or being embarrassed

Physical Symptoms:

· Trouble falling asleep due to racing thoughts

· Stomachaches, headaches, or other physical symptoms tied to worry

Behavioral Signs:

· Avoidance of school or social activities

· Seeking excessive reassurance

What Children Will Learn:

· Understanding Anxiety: What it is, why it happens, and how it shows up in the body

· Coping Skills Toolbox: Deep breathing, grounding, and positive self-talk strategies

· Emotional Awareness: Naming feelings and understanding triggers

· Problem-Solving Techniques: Tackling worries instead of avoiding them

· Social Connection: Realizing they’re not alone—other kids worry too

Anxie-TEEN Relief: A 6-Week In-Person Anxiety Group for Teens (Ages 13–17)
Hosted by The Center for Child Development | Led by Samantha Norris, MS, NCC
Adolescence is a time of transition, and for many teens, anxiety can become a heavy burden. School pressure, social stress, and an unpredictable world can all contribute to emotional overwhelm. If your teen often seems on edge, avoids activities, or talks about worry and fear, they may need extra support.
Common Challenges Teens Face:
· Difficulty managing anxious thoughts or constant worry
· Trouble sleeping or relaxing
· Avoidance of social or academic situations
· Physical symptoms like stomachaches or headaches linked to stress
· Feeling isolated or misunderstood by peers and adults
What This Group Offers:
· A safe, welcoming space for teens to explore their feelings
· Education on how anxiety affects the brain and body
· Proven coping strategies including grounding techniques and thought reframing
· Guided discussions and structured activities to build emotional resilience
