We are incredibly grateful to the members of the EMS Council of New Jersey, who took time out of their busy schedules to come and inspect our ambulance tonight. We are also grateful to all of the squads that donated supplies to help us stock the rig and especially to South Orange Rescue Squad for allowing us to use a bay in thier building for the inspection. The Valisburg Rescue Squad is proud to announce that our first transport ambulance has been provided by a grant from the State of NJ is on the streets of Newark. We are grateful to the City of Newark for its support insuring the ambulance.

The Vailsburg Rescue Squad is looking for a community partner in the West Ward. We need a location to park our new ambulance and an office to sit in while waiting to respond to 911 calls when we are on duty in Vailsburg. If anyone knows a business that has an available parking space and an empty office please let us know. vrs@thinksafety.com.

Coming soon to the streets of Newark! We need the help of our fellow NJ Squads and supporters. We need to fill the ambulance with equipment to be able to serve our community. We are asking other squads to donate spare equipment and our supporters to donate funds to purchase equipment.

The Vailsburg Rescue Squad will begin transporting patients when we respond to emergencies in the West Ward beginning on May 8, 2024. The Vailsburg Rescue Squad has provided volunteer EMS response services to our community since 2019 utilizing an EMS motorcycle and a first responder vehicle.

The Vailsburg Rescue Squad is dedicated to being a community based, volunteer emergency medical service organization and is now increasing the services offered to the residents of the West Ward.

The Vailsburg Rescue Squad has partnered with River Road Rescue Squad to utilize a transport ambulance, which will respond to medical emergencies primarily within the West Ward of Newark.
