Hello friends 🧡

I hope that this post finds you well. As we gear up for the fall/winter. My Doula sisters and I are excited to invite you to a special day. "Doula Wellness Summer Picnic" Saturday, August 23rd, 12 pm - 2 pm, meet us at Elmwood Park, East Orange, NJ, by the clubhouse. Join us for a day to relax, recharge, release, and regroup in the park.

Bring your yoga mat, a blanket, a water bottle, and a snack.

In celebration of National Breastfeeding month. My friend/colleague Jenny, who is an occupational therapist and Certified Lymphedema Therapist here in Essex County, NJ, created this amazing space to bring awareness to moms with a special offer to give away a free manual lymph drainage session to 6 breastfeeding moms.

Jenny also specializes in women health, perinatal care, pelvic health, and lymphatic health.

To be amongst these women is truly an honor. Who would imagine me taking a step and being a part of an amazing organization. The thoughts and ability to stand in the gap. The thoughts of being there. The thoughts of guidance and comfort. So much work to do and our voices will be heard.

On Sunday 10/13 @ 10:47am, he made his grand entrance 4 weeks early. . I must say, being a Doula definitely changes your mindset at every delivery. The thoughts and emotions that go through your mind are always at ought. Your guard goes up, and your protection is like a hawk. Postpartum visit went like this ☺️

Black Breastfeeding week August 25th - 31st. The theme week is called Listen Up! BBW2024

This week is dedicated to raising awareness about the unique challenges and benefits of breastfeeding in the Black Community. It aims to promote breastfeeding as a key strategy to improve health outcomes for Black mothers and babies, address racial disparities in breastfeeding rates, and celebrate Black Breastfeeding culture.

Where halfway through the year of 2024. I decided that I would continue to support families by accepting love donations for my Doula services. As I sit here, I start to realize that there are a lot of moms to be or future moms who are afraid to reach out based on financial responsibility (hiring a Doula).

Although I support women during an amazing experience and delicate time by helping with laboring, postpartum, and more. I'm offering the opportunity to support you in another way.

If you would like to make a donation to Pearls of Doula with monetary gifts such as diapers, wipes, flowers, a plant, or gift cards. Please DM me for more information.

I'm a full spectrum Doula and Postpartum Doula. I have experience with high pregnancy patients and postpartum hemorrhage. I'm certified HIPPA compliance.

The call came in at 3:54pm. on Thursday afternoon, I made my way around 9:08pm that evening. Baby arrived at 5:45 am. on Friday morning, 6/29/24 🙌🏾✨️❤️ Mom, Dad and baby are doing well ❤️ 💕

This warms my heart ❤️ I love what I do. Sometimes, it has its challenging moments, but I'm staying firm in my calling. My family history and legacy continue. I'm the 6th generation, coming from a large family of Midwifes. To my ancestors! Thank you for the platform.
