I see you have some questions about laser hair removal.
I know—it's a big decision. But I promise, it's worth it.
Here are some of the most common myths and truths about laser hair removal:
▶"All areas of the body can be lasered."
✅True: While it is true that hair on any part of the body can be removed with a laser, each area requires a different intensity. More sensitive areas - like the groin, face, and ge***al area - require a gentler laser intensity, and therefore more sessions are needed to eliminate the hair.
▶"All types of laser hair removal have the same results"
❌Myth. There are several types of laser hair removal and each one obtains different results, largely due to the type of skin and hair, which varies from person to person. The darker the hair and the lighter the skin, the better results the treatment will have, as the laser will better identify the hair under the skin.
▶ "I can't wax between laser sessions"
✅ True: During the laser hair removal process, its action focuses on weakening the hair until it falls out naturally and does not grow back. Pulling out the hair at the root with a wax removal process stops the weakening process, as new hair will be born and you will have to start the process from the beginning. Before the laser session, you must shave with a razor, at least three days before.
▶ "I can't expose myself to the sun in the laser area next week after the procedure"
✅ True: It all depends on the type of skin and the type of laser, but the minimum recommended wait is a week before direct exposure to the sun, although it varies a lot. The idea is to ask your beauty center what is the period of protection from the sun according to the type of treatment you are doing.
