Congratulations to Brandy Moody, Community Case Management, as this quarter’s Patient Experience Recognition Winner! Each quarter, LMHS recognizes employees who provide an excellent patient experience and exhibit a strong commitment to our culture and values. Employees are asked to nominate co-workers by sharing the personal actions taken to make a difference and positively reflect LMHS’ mission to improve the health of the community.
Brandy was nominated by Dusty Bishop, Culinary Services. Dusty’s father, Terry, was taken to the Emergency Room and found to have extremely low blood sugar levels. After he was released from LMH, Brandy followed up with Terry and suggested that he try a continuous glucose monitor that can be connected to an app on a smart phone. Terry, who is 80, had some challenges trying to reset his password to download and use the app. Brandy spent hours with him working with Apple to allow access to the app and explaining to Terry how to use it. Dusty said Brandy offered patience and remained pleasant and helpful throughout the experience. She even met with Terry after two weeks of using the device to ensure he was able to replace the sensor.
