Maia Palmer is a local kidney donor who says "the choice to donate and save [my aunt's life] was one of the eaasiest ones I've ever made"! In 2025, she donated a kidney to her aunt with Polycystic Kidney Disease.

She has started the Kidney Love project as a way to spread the word about the benefits of living kidney donation. She is looking for people who are willing to share their story of kidney donation and are willing to have their portrait drawn as a part of this project.
