Yesterday, our staff celebrated National Banana Split Day! Our Staff Coordinator, Amber, whipped up some yummy banana splits and passed them out to staff. This was the perfect sweet treat to get the staff through the day!

Yesterday, we celebrated National Creamsicle Day! Our staff Coordinator, Amber, passed our creamsicles to all the staff. This was the perfect cold treat for a hot summer day!

Meet our August Employee of the Month… Tasia!

Tasia started at our facility as a hospitality aide in May. Since then, she completed our Nurse Aide Training Classes, where she was an A+ student! Tasia brings positivity to the facility and has a smile that shines for days. The residents really enjoy her big personality and nurturing heart. Congratulations, Tasia! We can’t wait to see what your future has in store. 💙

Last week, our Speret Hall residents whipped up a cool treat, Ambrosia Salad. They then enjoyed the finished product while virtually visiting the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Residents had a blast making their sweet treat and relaxing.

A few days ago, our residents and staff enjoyed a fun-filled outing to the Hartford Fair for Senior Day! From riding the carousel and savoring fair favorites to sharing laughs and making memories together, it was the perfect way to soak up the summer!

Meet our July Employee of the Month… Amber!

Amber Miller is our receptionist and also helps out in activities. During her 2 years as a part of our team, Amber has enjoyed building relationships with the residents and watching them succeed. Her motivation to come to work every day is being able to be a part of a great team and work environment. When asked what advice she would give to new employees joining the team, Amber stated, “Smile. You never know if someone’s having a rough day. Your smile could change someone’s day.

Amber has a dog and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew, reading, and enjoying the outdoors. A fun fact about Amber is that her favorite food is Mexican!

We are so thankful to have Amber as a part of our team, and we can’t wait to see what her future has in store for her. Congratulations, Amber! 💙

Recently, we hosted a facility carnival for our residents, their families, staff, and members of the community!

The day was packed with classic carnival games, refreshing water balloon fun, and great company. Live acoustic music by Southern Starr set the perfect tone for the afternoon. No carnival is complete without tasty treats. Kona Ice and The Jacket Potato were on-site serving up delicious food that everyone enjoyed!

Absolute Hospice also came out to show their support as well. Account Executive, Lindsey, hosted a fun ring toss and donated a door prize. Congratulations to our resident Patricia, who took home the door prize after winning the corn-hole tournament!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success! It was a sunny day full of smiles, laughter, and lasting memories. 🎪🍿

On Tuesday, our staff had some fun doing the Fruit by the Foot challenge! Without using their hands, staff tried to eat a fruit by the foot as fast as they could. I think it’s safe to say everyone had fun. Congratulations to Jennifer for winning this intense competition!

Last weekend, our Speret Hall ladies enjoyed a sweet treat from The Peach Cobbler Factory! We were all big fans and will definitely be back for more of this delicious treat.
