Endometriosis is one of the leading causes of infertility and affects an estimated 1 in 8 individuals and couples. In 2010, the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded to Dr. Robert Edwards for his assistance in developing in vitro fertilization, a medical marvel which allowed Lesley Brown to conceive, carry, and deliver her daughter Louise in 1978. Today, the Endometriosis & Pelvic Pain Center celebrates IVF’s 44th birthday, and would like to thank the IVF medical team at RADfertility for bridging the gap to fertility!

"Endometriosis hurts because there is so much ignorance, particularly amongst physicians and other health providers. When people with endometriosis are told ignorant things or have ignorant treatments that quickly leads to depression, questioning of self-worth, relationship breakups, loss of productivity, and feelings of isolation. Luckily, this ignorance can readily be overcome when someone with classic endometriosis symptoms turns to the Internet and social media, where it is easy to find that they are not alone. And through that information often comes empowerment and a plan of action.” – Dr. Ronald Feinberg 🎗️

Dr. Feinberg may have written this blog entry about endometriosis years ago, but the message is still just as true today. Read the full blog here: https://endopelvicpaincenter.com/dr-ronald-feinberg/why-endometriosis-hurts-everyone/ 💛
