Over 130 nurses, midwives, physicians, and administrators from across the tri-state area and beyond joined us yesterday for "Pitfalls in Perinatal Care: EFM, Oxytocin Use & Risk Management," presented by obstetrical risk expert Lisa A. Miller, JD. We were honored to host Lisa Miller again for this informative conference as part of our Center for Clinical Impact. A big thank you to the planning committee members Lisa Gittens Williams, MD, Michelle Dickerson, Cheniqua Morales, and Kristen Giordano, who participated in the presentations. Exciting news! NJ Supports Breastfeeding is a new website dedicated to providing accurate health information and supporting families & healthcare professionals. The site outlines the benefits of breastfeeding and features articles, practical resources, videos, and advice from other mothers. Last Thursday, we partnered with the City of Passaic and WIC for a Summer of Wellness Fair at the Passaic Senior Center, celebrating World Breastfeeding Week/Month! It was a day filled with celebration, empowerment, and community togetherness, featuring expert-led sessions, helpful resources, and abundant support. We enjoyed raffles and giveaways, along with essential items like diapers and wipes. 💜
