On Tuesday, we celebrated National Potato Day with a Baked Potato Bar! We were fully equipped with all the toppings you could think of; buffalo chicken dip, garlic chicken, bacon, baked beans, chorizo, fresh sweet corn, Velveeta cheese, queso, and much more. Our staffed were lined up at the door waiting to make their perfect baked potato. Everyone enjoyed this unique, customized lunch!

This week, we celebrated Renay’s 1 year work anniversary! 🎉

Renay joined our team last August as a hospitality aide. Since then, she completed her nurse aide training classes and is now a CNA. In her free time, Renay enjoys spending time with her sweet little boy and doing arts and crafts together.

Thank you, Renay, for all the hard work over this past year. We truly appreciate you! 💙

Meet our August Employee of the Month… Bobby!

Bobby Rizer joined our Altercare team in January as a CNA. Since then, he went through training to become a CMA! Bobby is well like, easy to get along with, and our residents absolutely adore him. He is always helping out by picking up med tech shifts. In his free time, Bobby is a full-time family man. Thank you, Bobby, for everything you do! We are so lucky to have you as a part of our Altercare team. 💙

Meet our July Employee of the Month… Amber!

Amber Miller is our receptionist and also helps out in activities. During her 2 years as a part of our team, Amber has enjoyed building relationships with the residents and watching them succeed. Her motivation to come to work every day is being able to be a part of a great team and work environment. When asked what advice she would give to new employees joining the team, Amber stated, “Smile. You never know if someone’s having a rough day. Your smile could change someone’s day.

Amber has a dog and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephew, reading, and enjoying the outdoors. A fun fact about Amber is that her favorite food is Mexican!

We are so thankful to have Amber as a part of our team, and we can’t wait to see what her future has in store for her. Congratulations, Amber! 💙

Last Friday, the 25th, we celebrated National Wine and Cheese Day! Our Staff Coordinator, Megan, made a delicious cheese board for each shift. Our staff definitely appreciated this delicious snack.

A big thank you to the Akron Zoo for visiting our Altercare Cuyahoga Falls residents and bringing some zoo fun to the facility!

July 21st was National Junk Food Day. To celebrate, our Staff Coordinator, Megan, put together a snack basket for the staff to enjoy throughout the day. We had an assortment of candy, chips & salsa, cookies, granola bars, wafers, and more! Thank you Megan for treating our staff to some snacks.
