Saint James Health West We are a FQHC Community Health Center. Our practice serves our patients regardless of the ability to The health of oneself and their family is our top priority.

Saint James Health is a community health center located in the West Ward of Newark, NJ. Our goal is to bring comprehensive primary care to the community in a setting that is comfortable and accommodating to all visitors of Saint James Health. All our services are currently offered in English, Creole Spanish, and Portuguese, we accept all insurances, including Medicare and Medicaid as well as self-pay.

Please join us in warmly welcoming Zainab Mustapha, PA-C, to the Saint James Health family!

Zainab is a passionate and skilled Physician Assistant who recently earned her Master of Health Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Drexel University. As a proud National Health Service Corps Scholar, she is deeply committed to advancing care for underserved communities — a mission we proudly share at SJH.

Zainab brings valuable experience in Family Medicine and Pediatrics, having trained at several Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, and the VA Medical Center in Philadelphia. Prior to becoming a PA, she also served as a Patient Advocate, working closely with uninsured patients and supporting maternal health programs.

She will be caring for patients Tuesday–Friday at our South Ward location:
