Led by Dr. Jennifer Saylor and Dr. Jennifer Graber, students participating in the Italy NURS/HLTH Winter Study Abroad explored healthcare development through immersive hospital visits at Siena Teaching Hospital and Careggi University Hospital. These experiences provided valuable insight into global healthcare systems and expanded students’ perspectives on nursing and health beyond the U.S., while also engaging in cultural immersion experiences such as Italian cooking classes and excursions to Pisa.

Beta Xi held their annual wrapping party at Upper Bay Counseling & Support Services on December 8, 2025. 5 Beta Xi members became santa’s helpers and wrapped all of the gifts that Beta Xi and UD SON ordered on Amazon wishlists for the clients at Upper Bay. All of the clients will also receive a full size hygiene bag with hygiene products, holiday item and a goodie, hat, socks, and gloves (no picture). These were also donated by BetaXi members and UD SON. Joanne would like to thank everyone for their generous donations of gifts and hygiene bags.
