Repost from

Breathing through your nose isn’t just a preference — it’s essential for healthy sleep, airway function, and overall wellness. 👃✨
Nasal breathing filters, warms, and humidifies the air you breathe, supporting better oxygen exchange and nervous system balance.
That’s why during your consultation, we look closely at how you breathe. Promoting nasal breathing by using strips helps us address the root cause of snoring, fatigue, and airway dysfunction… not just the symptoms 😊

🦷 How Oral Structures Impact Breathing 🌬️

Your mouth isn’t just for teeth — it’s a powerful part of how you breathe, sleep, and feel every day. Here’s why:

👅 Tongue posture: When your tongue rests against the roof of your mouth, it helps keep your airway open. If it drops down (like with chronic mouth breathing), the airway can become restricted.

🦷 Jaw alignment: A recessed or narrow jaw can push the tongue backward, making it harder for air to flow freely. Proper alignment = better breathing and improved sleep.

✨ Palate shape: A high, narrow palate limits nasal space and forces more mouth breathing. A wider palate allows for easier nasal breathing — the way your body was designed to breathe.

👉 The takeaway: your oral structures directly influence your airway, sleep quality, and energy levels.

☎️ Think your breathing might be impacted by your oral structure? Give us a call — our team is here to help guide you toward healthier, deeper breathing.
