                                            UPCOMING CLASSES - LINK IN BIO TO REGISTEREnergetics of local herbal medicine: Chinese herbal theory and herbs that grow here - Sat, January 4th 1:30-7
This class is a 5.5 hour intensive to learn more about the intersection of Chinese herbal medicine and locally growing herbs.  We will cover the basics of Chinese medicine and apply these principles to herbs that are easy to grow and harvest in your own garden.  Knowing more about the energetic nature (hot/cold, wet/dry, etc) of each herb will help you choose more effective remedies.  We will touch on some basic identification and preparation as well, but our focus will be on energetic uses of each herb.
Herbs for mental health - Weds, January 22nd 6-8pm
together we will explore how plants can support our mental health in a multitude of aspects.  we will explore specific plants and their properties, rotating through different remedies as one moves trough healing, finding a good "match" between a person and a plant, and ways that we can repay the plants for their support.
Herbs for chronic pain - Sat, Feb 1, 12:30-2:30pm
Pain is complex and layered, and there is often no simple fix.  That being said, many herbs can soothe and transform pain if the larger picture can be engaged.  Come and learn perspectives of herbal nourishment that will help you to understand where to begin in unraveling the knot that is chronic pain.

Before diving onto the internet for answers, there are a few simple ways you can help your research be more informed.  Together we will learn ways to navigate research using multiple sources and perspectives, learning about the author, and  focusing on going deeper.
