We would like to take a moment to introduce our Licensed Massage Therapists: Geneva Foster-Ward & Christina Crawford.

Christina comes to us with 6 years experience in massage therapy. She offers Deep Tissue and Relaxation massage for all patients and also treats those injured in Motor Vehicle Accidents. Christina practices here at Kismet and is also self-employed in Salem. Her office hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 12pm-7pm.

After years in social services & education, Geneva transitioned to the massage therapy world after she was a client and helped by chiropractic & massage. She attended the University of Western States and offers a variety of modalitities to provide the highest quality of service. She offers Deep Tissue, Sports Massage (therapeutic resistance stretching and muscle energy techniques), Myofascial Release, Motor Vehicle Injury, and Trigger Point Therapy. Pre-natal massage is also available. Her office hours are Mondays and Wednesdays 9am-3:45pm and the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month 9am-12pm.

Controlling your Expression
Genes are what make us who we are as individuals. We do have the power through diet and lifestyle changes to help control these genes IE turn them on and off. You are made up of your parents if you live the lifestyle your parents lived you will most likely end up with the same conditions they have. Diabetes, RA, overweight ETC. Choosing an active and healthy lifestyle will limit your chances on having those genes express and be less likely to end up with those conditions. This is the idea of epigenetics, this system is like a gait keeper to your DNA and the environment they are put in depends on if they turn a gene on or off.
