The best lessons that a child can learn are the ones that they don't even realize they are gleaning in the process of doing something they are excited about. This is way bigger than a "pony ride".

What a special night this week celebrating with our Boys Farm Honor Roll crew - congratulations everyone! We had not one, but TWO first time participants this quarter, and we are so proud of the efforts that Elijah and Malachi have put in to improve their grades. It was a majority vote to bring them to the Blossom Buffet.

(Yes, apparently sometimes you're so excited to have made it on this special night that you find yourself eating soft serve and crawdads at the same time...)

A little "belated" Happy Birthday to Issac, BUT, it was worth the wait to get to share the SECOND photo with you! It is refreshing to see young men who are still passionately excited about gaining the freedom and independence and responsibility that driving privileges afford. This young man has been working hard, and the fruit is evident - we are so proud of you Issac!

It is so much fun, and such a great lesson for all the kids to learn through our cattle program. We have been watching as 16 healthy calves were born in a window of about 3 weeks which is a blessing, and the fruit of a great bull and strong brood foundation.

Our prayers are with those who got much worse and are still without power from this storm that pushed across the US. We were well prepared - not the least of which was indoor "by lantern light" activities to enjoy if the power went out. We didn't have to flex our emergency preparedness muscle, but that didn't stop Nieiri from enjoying the plans they made for some board game tournaments and arts and crafts!

So far so good at Boys Farm - mostly just a beautiful show and no power outages for us!

Just finished making sure the herd gets fresh hay - Not the usual “look” for our South Carolina cows but - they’re doing great! All of our new calves are up and frisking about which is a beautiful blessing.
