Let's Go Trail Life USA - we had an amazing crew out from First Baptist of Lexington to help us clean up our woods trails and work on some fencing updates in advance of our Volunteeer Day! (There might have even been some fun with tomohawks, red ryders, and bows and arrows! )

That box is HEAVY... 51 Kilos (added fun of a math problem if you want it in pounds!) and we work hard to develop a "creative solutions" attitude that breaks down the all too common "I can't do it" mentality!

It's VOLLEYBALL season at the farm in the beautiful cooler evenings - it feels like more nights than not, we get together in the big yard and have a game together! Thankful for some friends from church who joined us this past weekend to fill the field!

We have sprung a leak. Of course, that leak was under the sidewalk of all places. Cut out the sidewalk, turn off the water, and dig to find the root of the problem.

Corroded pipes, and a growing leak. And I couldn't help but recognize "I think that this leak happened under the sidewalk to make SURE that after all this work, we don't just put a "patch" on a bigger problem.

God works in a lot of the same ways. He doesn't just want to patch up our problems. he doesn't want to connect a new pipe to an old system. He wants to run all new plumbing that will withstand the elements, and give new life to the whole system. Sometimes pushing us to the place where we surrender all and completely overhaul the system hurts. But it's always worth it!
