This week for Chatterbox Kids Group Speech Therapy we did Halloween themed crafts, songs, book, and sensory bin! We read the book “Where’s Baby’s Pumpkin?” then did a fun craft where we mix colors and painted ghosts and bats! We listened to “Knock Knock Trick or Treat” to get ready for trick or treating on Halloween! We ended off with some fun exploring of a sensory bin where we played with some halloween knick knacks! Hope you all have a spooky Halloween! 🎃 👻

We had the honor of having one of our own SLPs, Mrs. Amy, speak at the Christ Community Church MomCo last week! She had time to present and was able to interact one-on-one with the members as well. Thank you MomCo for this wonderful opportunity to reach out and inform more members of our community of the advantages of Speech-Language Therapy!

Getting ready for Kindergarten? Have your little one join Mrs. Lydia in her Kindergarten Readiness Camp at Speech4Kids on August 4th-8th from 8am-12pm. The camp is designed to help kids learn the routines and expectations of a typical school day with an emphasis on phonics.

This weeks Chatterbox Kids theme is ice cream since we’re getting into the heat of July! We started off reading the book “The Little Ice Cream Truck” and listening to a few songs about ice cream flavors and scoops. Then we transitioned into a fun craft where the kids decorated their own “ice cream cone”. We did a sensory bin with some ice cream props where we practiced counting and sorting by colors. Next, we had fun ordering an making pretend ice cream for each other. Finally, we finished things off by releasing some of our physical energy by building a fort and taking turns going through a fun colorful tunnel!

This weeks Chatterbox Kids group theme was “Red, White & Blue” in honor of Fourth of July this Friday! We started off our session with a read aloud of the book “On The Fourth of July”, and listened to some songs about celebrating Independence Day. Then, we shifted into some sensory activities that focused on sorting and tracing. Next, we colored some papers using dot markers and practiced taking turns going through a colorful tunnel. Finally, we ended things off with more songs and bubbles! Happy Fourth of July!

This weeks Chatterbox Kids group theme was Garden and Grass! We started off with the book “In the Tall, Tall Grass” and listened to the song “Crawl Like a Caterpillar”. We dove into a sensory bin with grass, bugs, and magnifying glasses and finished with some fine motor grass cutting and dot markers.
