The CAMP The CAMP a school based health center, providing medical & mental Health services to students 5-21. Located in Tahquamenon Area School. The C.A.M.P. The CA.M.P.

(Counseling and Medical Place) is a school-based health center that provides medical and mental health services to students at Tahquamenon Area School. is centrally located at Newberry High School, Room 170. This makes it very easy for students to access health services without having to leave the building. provides medical services for acute illnesses, chronic conditions, well child exams, immunizations, sport physicals, concussion vital signs and more through Laura Gribbell, FNP-C. Behavioral health services are provided by Adolescent Therapist Wendy Young, LMSW, BCD. Therapy services include, anxiety, depression, anger management, family or peer relationship, grief, PTSD, self esteem, academic concerns & substance abuse. We also partner with LMAS District Health Department to provide educational and support programs such as drug and alcohol awareness, nutrition, and smoking cessation classes and seminars. Services at The CAMP are designed for adolescents ages 5-21. We are here for those who have insurance, who are under-insured, or who have no insurance. If you are under the age of 18, you will need a parent/guardian to sign a consent form. These can be found at the CAMP, or you can call 293-3226 Ext 1427 and request to have one sent home via email, backpack or mail. Students can request confidential HIV/STD testing as well as pregnancy tests.*

*The CAMP CAN NOT prescribe or dispense ANY contraception/family planning/birth control of any kind.

**You will not need parent/guardian consent to receive mental health counseling, HIV/STD testing or pregnancy tests, as these are confidential services.

🔐 Help Us Keep Kids Safe

The Marquette County Health Department is conducting a study to test Store Safely—an online safe storage program developed right here in the U.P. to help families protect their children.
We are looking for parents or guardians of children ages 0–17 who have at least one firearm in the home or on their property to take part in this trial.

✅ Participants need regular access to the internet and an electronic device.
💵 Those who join can receive up to $170 for completing surveys.
By taking part, you’ll be helping us learn what works best for families while making our community safer for children.
