Important facts:
• Measles is highly contagious and spreads easily
• Symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and rash
• The MMR vaccine is safe and effective

If you’re unsure of your vaccination status, please contact your healthcare provider for guidance.

Visitation Policy Update:

Effective January 16, Newberry Health will temporarily restrict visitors under the age of 15. This precautionary measure is being implemented to help protect the safety of our patients, visitors, and team members during a time of increased respiratory illness in our community.

These temporary visitor restrictions are especially important in helping safeguard our most vulnerable patients. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we continue to prioritize the health and well-being of everyone in our facilities.

Thank you for your support and partnership in keeping our community healthy.

About Our Hospital

Here at Newberry County Memorial Hospital, we understand that healthcare is changing rapidly. Advances in medicine and strides in technology are providing local communities access to better healthcare more than ever before. It is our desire to provide the best care in our region, and more importantly, to be the first choice in hospital care for our community.

That being said, we know we have to earn your trust and your business. That’s why our medical staff, nurses, clinical technicians, administrators, housekeeping, and the rest of the care team work together to make your experience at our hospital the best it can be. Our commitment to providing exceptional care with a personal touch also extends to the family members and loved ones of our patients as we recognize good health is a total team effort.

It is worth mentioning that Newberry County Memorial Hospital is ranked among the top 10 percent nationally for quality patient care. Safety is a top priority. As a result, we’ve had no wrong site surgeries and our infection rates—often very common in hospitals—are near zero! We call it excellence in action.

Whether you’re welcoming a new baby or recovering from illness or injury, our staff is here to help you and your loved ones. Your comfort and care is our major goal.
