But what is my face going to look like if I dissolve the filler? * The one thought & fear that holds most women back from removing old filler that is distorting their appearance.
While the fear of the unknown can be quite daunting for some women, I am pleased to share I have not had one single patient follow through with dissolving who was disappointed in their decision.
Once the first dissolving session is completed, feedback is always, “I wish I did this sooner.” In some cases quality of life is restored if there were unpleasant symptoms caused by inappropriate placement of filler.
I encourage my patients to break through the fear of the unknown, old filler that’s migrated or had been poorly placed is a huge distraction from natural beauty. It becomes a focal point often times to the outside world, one that perhaps we don’t always acknowledge because we get accustomed to the appearance. I like to call it “filler blindness.”
It takes a keen eye and an a provider who is not afraid to be honest, say no even. Utililizing ultrasound guidance we can now dissolve more precisely, it’s been a game changer for our practice.
Our goal is to create and maintain beauty and the naturalness of your face. When there is filler disrupting natural contours and in some cases causing even subtle complications (non-emergent) but nevertheless- the conversation must move to a “starting fresh” approach.
