Today our crews, past and present, traveled to Albany to honor a hero we will never forget.
In 2022, Paramedic Lisa Sillins was involved in a tragic accident that led her to make the ultimate sacrifice. Lisa was the “mom” of our crews — always checking in on everyone, making sure people were okay, and pushing those around her to be the best versions of themselves.
Lisa was the true definition of a hero. Her smile could light up any room, and her kindness left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Today, Lisa was honored with a star on the EMS Memorial Tree alongside eight other individuals who gave everything while caring for others. It was a powerful reminder that there are no borders in EMS — we are all connected in one way or another through this profession and through service to others.
A huge thank you to the New York State Department of Health for continually standing behind EMS providers, and to all of the speakers whose heartfelt words meant so much to everyone in attendance.
Lisa, we will forever remember the way your smile lit up every room you entered. 💙

What an awesome day for our crew!
Today, we had the opportunity to join an incredible group of people at the Hudson Valley Renegades Touch-A-Truck event ahead of their doubleheader.
After the event, our crew got to head into the stadium and experience firsthand what all the hype is about. It’s truly a great organization with a beautiful facility.
We had such a great time meeting Hudson Valley families and giving them a glimpse into our world by showcasing our workspace—Unit 605.

In 2026, Lisa Sillins will be honored on the EMS Memorial for Fallen Emergency Medical Services Providers.
Lisa will always be remembered by NY2 as a friend, a coworker, a mentor, and family. No matter where she went, she lit up the room. She uplifted younger providers, taking them under her wing and helping them find confidence, purpose, and belonging.
Lisa represents the very best of what it means to serve in EMS. Her compassion, dedication, and spirit continue to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
We are deeply grateful for Lisa’s service and for the incredible impact she made at Ambulnz by DocGo.
