The world is loud. We know. 🌿

Constant doing. Endless noise. Fear, distraction, the pull to be everywhere at once — it's exhausting.
We offer something different.

A space of stillness. Of silence and community. Of coming back to yourself — not who you're supposed to be, but who you actually are.
This practice is not an escape from your life. It's a return to it.

This is for you if:
you're tired of running on empty
you're ready to do the inner work
you're seeking something real beneath the noise

Come as you are. The mat meets you there. 🙏

We love collaborating with like-minded neighbours.

A year ago now The shala and the Ellis founded newburgh's first community fridge with the support of our friends at Fareground

It's such a joy to come share Yoga in their beautiful space and to do so with my family on drums & indie moon as our mascot in the back.

It's all just a big family 💜🪷

I have some meaningful news to share with you all.

The Shala is moving this August— and we are so excited about what is ahead. Our new home will be just a few blocks away, on 87 Liberty St, a space that has been cultivated by Angela of APG Pilates with great love and care. It is a true honor to uphold the energy she has cultivated here over 12 years. This new location will bring us greater visibility in the community and a beautiful new presence on Liberty St.

This is both an exciting and bittersweet moment. So much has been poured into our current space. It is where I first felt the spirit of the shala come alive — walking into an empty room with no intention of finding a space for myself, but rather at the ask of my teachers, seeking a home for them. It was as if the spirit of the shala had been sitting there all along, waiting for me to come find her, my teachers gently ushering me through the door. Such blessings are our teachers. What has followed is the blossoming of a most amazing, loving community.

The tenderness of that moment has never left me. But what has made this space truly sacred is not the walls themselves — it is each of you. You, who have shown up on your mats through every season of your lives. Who have chanted with us to uplift the spirit through good times and difficult ones. Who have rolled up your sleeves and cleaned up the street outside our door, making it a safer and more beautiful place for everyone. Who have planted trees and flowers, attended workshops in the humble pursuit of coming closer to the truth, and held one another through joy and through hardship. This corner of Liberty St. has been transformed by our presencE

the most beautiful part is this: everything we have built together comes with us. Every chant, every shared effort, every moment of holding one another — all of it lives in us, not in the walls. And now we get to do it again, together, in a new space that we will shape and fill and make our own. I cannot think of a more meaningful way to step into this next chapter than with this community by my side.

This month we are discussing the Goddess. Sharing stories, exploring concepts and guiding each other into the light through the wisdom of the divine mother

There are no negative emotions, just some more difficult to transcend and transmute. Listen in you'll know where this reflection will come in handy.

Jacquie is back with a really special series.

What if the breath you take right now is the most important thing you own?

We spend so much energy avoiding the topic of death, yet contemplating our impermanence is one of the most direct paths to living a vibrant, intentional life.

Join us for Breath and Death, a transformative 3-part series designed to help you contemplate the inevitable in a held container and live this moment with presence and joy.

Through asana, pranayama, contemplation, and each other, we’ll move from the philosophical to the practical, ending with a profound review of the lives we are currently building.

The Sessions:

March 21: The Five Remembrances (Living fully through impermanence)

April 25: The Practical Path (End-of-Life planning and pranayama)

May 16: The Life Review (Legacy and presence)

Secure your spot for the full series and save with Early Bird pricing.
