I studied at Ivy Tech and graduated in 2019. Going into the program I highly underestimate how tough it was going to be, and the depth to which the classes would go into. I have taken anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, psychology, massage anatomy, ethics, pathology and massage, deep tissue, holistic wellness, health and science, business and much more. I am continuously taking extra education courses because I love to be able to learn new techniques and this career path really can change and evolve all the time. I ended up getting into massage because of my third child, who was diagnosed with several heart defects and had to have surgery at two days old. After surgery she was hooked to so many wires that the only available body part that could be touched was her right foot. I would massage it and hold it. The cardiologist came in seeing what I was doing and commented how good of an idea that was to help with healing her after surgery and to have her know my touch. I researched massage for those with cardiology issues and what it would do to benefit her during and after surgery. When she was 2, that is when I started at Ivy Tech for Massage Therapy. I absolutely love my job. I love to help people feel better in their bodies. Completely judge free here. Bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and I want no one to apologies for anything! Don't apologies for Hair, not shaving, if you are worried about your weight, smelling after work, crying on the table. Don't. Don't apologies for any of it. My clients are all absolutely amazing. I cherish every single one of you and very grateful to have people trust me with their healing. Pregnancy Massage is my favorite to do. But I do pretty much everything. Infant massage, Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Light Pressure, Geriatric, shiatsu. My pressure is very versatile to. I can cater to what the client is needing and wanting for the body. I have several more classes I am wanting to take to cater to clients such as, Lomi Lomi Massage, A shiatsu, and Buccal Massage. Come see me! When you come here you end up getting heard and become family. I am not a shy person. Nothing is going to shock me, and I look forward to being able to help you relax, feel better in your body and just have a beautiful Oasis of comfort for you!
