Attention IMTSS Clients and Community Supporters of Music Therapy
URGENT: Help Protect Access to Music Therapy in Indiana!
We need your voice TODAY to protect Medicaid and the people in Indiana who depend on it. There are TWO separate issues that could impact Music Therapy waiver services in Indiana.
#1. The U.S. Senate (Federal Government) is considering language in their bill that would CUT Medicaid. This could mean cuts at the State Level for those who receive Medicaid, in any form.
#2. The DDRS advisory committee has suggested a CAP of 6 hours/ 72 hours per year for music therapy services through the Medicaid Waiver. This has not been sent out formally yet, but has been suggested.
Please take a moment to reach out to your U.S. Senators, Indiana State House Representative and Indiana State Senators and urge them to:
Reject Medicaid cuts
V Protect access to music therapy and related services
Find your legislators here: https://iga.in.gov/information/find-legislators
Share your story. Let them know how Medicaid and music therapy have impacted your life or the lives of those you serve.
SHARE this message widely to amplify our voices!
