Today, we stopped by Miss Cindy’s Neighborhood Nursery School to show off our equipment and help teach the kids there’s nothing to be scared of when it comes to EMS! 🚑

Early morning drill! 🚑 Our crews teamed up with multiple Orange County agencies to simulate a mass casualty incident where patients were brought to Garnet Health Medical Center. Drills like these are designed to help our staff become familiar with protocols and procedures of large scale operations.

This week, two of our newest paramedics attended an RSI course along with LaGrange Professional Firefighters taught by Orange County EMS 1 Richard Willey alongside Dr. Felice and Dr. Whiteside.

RSI (rapid sequence intubation) is a skill our paramedics use to help patients when they can no longer breath on their own.

We are proud of Assistant Chief Oates & Paramedic Callahan for their continued dedication to our agency! 🚑

Last night we attended a Man vs. Machine drill with Winona Lake Fire Engine Company focused on improving communication and coordination between responders. Training together in realistic scenarios helps build stronger teamwork and prepares us to respond more effectively when real emergencies occur. We are grateful for opportunities like this to keep learning and improving. 🚑🔥

This evening at approximately 2005 hours, our crews were dispatched to an Aircraft Accident with report of an aircraft down in the Hudson River. Our agency responded with 1 ALS Unit and 1 BLS Unit alongside Orange County EMS 2. With the assistance of local police, we were able to locate 2 patients out of the water who were later transported in stable condition.
