My name is Tiphani Fillingim and I am the owner of Illuminating Hope Counseling, LLC. I have been working in the field of Social Work since 2013 after graduating from USI with my Masters in Social Work. I have experience working with individuals struggling with mental health and addiction, ranging from school aged children to adults of any age. I also specialize in marriage and family therapy. Wor

king in a variety of settings has given me experience with a multitude of diagnoses and problems. I believe everyone deserves a second chance in life and to take back control over what was once lost. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with Mental Health and Addictions. I use a solution focused approach with Motivational Interviewing, DBT, CBT, and TFCBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy- specifically for children). I also use Matrix programming to address addictions and substance abuse. Therapy is a unique and individual experience that can offer help to those in need and provide hope for the future. Therapy can be uncomfortable and a little scary, but if you are motivated and ready for change it is well worth it. Lastly, therapy can help challenge us to grow, gain new perspectives, and learn healthy ways to cope with life's curveballs.

Hello! Welcome to Illuminating Hope Counseling, LLC!

I am excited to announce that I officially have my own LLC! I have been working with Kelly at Old Towne Counseling for a few years in the private practice realm and have decided to take the leap myself. This is a huge step for me, and I appreciate all of the love, encouragement and support from my close friends and family, especially my husband Tim who has supported me in every adventure I've taken.
Illuminating Hope Counseling, LLC was made official on September 26, 2025 and I have been working on this transition since then. This will not impact my current clients in a negative way, and it will be a smooth transition. I am still at the same office at Old Towne Counseling of Newburgh, LLC and we will be making more announcements in the near future!
