As of the end of September, I will be closing Keelin Studio. Our last day of patient treatment will be September 20th.

When Keelin started this clinic in 2005, she had a vision to create a location that was able to treat patients as the therapist saw fit, without the mandates often placed on health care practitioners by insurance companies. She created a special place and I was honored to work for her as a staff therapist from 2007-2017. In that time, I learned so much from her about evaluation and treatment, about how to treat employees, and about how to create a business that not only was financially successful, but which also always remained true to its vision and values. My dreams were never to own a physical therapy clinic, but when she moved to Colorado and sold me her business in 2017, I didn't realize how much I would love being a business owner. I have been able to spend the past seven years shaping the studio into my own special place and I will miss it, but it is time for my next chapter.

Even with the transition from employee to owner, this role has always been my part-time job. At heart, I am an educator and know that my home is in the classroom. My full-time role at River Valley Community College is one I cherish, and I will continue my work educating future physical therapist assistants. I will miss direct patient care, but it is time for me to take a step back and focus my additional time on my family.

While it is hard to say good-bye, it is time. Keelin and I have talked and she is in full support of the direction I have decided to go in. For the past 19 years, Keelin Studio has provided top-quality physical therapy services to over 1000 patients in the Lake Sunapee Region and our greatest accomplishment is the word-of-mouth referrals that have brought new patients through our doors for years. We can not thank you enough for your trust and confidence when you not only choose us as your physical therapist, but when you chose to share us with your friends and neighbors.

I will miss all of you and thank you so much for being part of the Keelin Studio family over the past two decades.

We ask that anyone with an outstanding balance, finalize payment no later than 9/20. Anyone with a credit on their account will be issued a refund at that time. If you have any questions, or would like a referral on where to continue your care, please do not hesitate to reach out. Please do not reply directly to this message, but email us directly: schedule.keelinstudio@gmail.com

For our remaining time available in September, the clinic hours will be as follows:

Tuesday 8:30-12:00 (Kim)
Wednesday by appointment (Patty)
Friday 8:30-12:30 (Kim)

In health and wellness,
~Kim

Thank you to everyone who let me know about the website being down. Apparently the domain host has upgraded to a platform that is incompatible with our website template and our website will have to be rebuilt. (Gee, thanks for the heads up.) It is up and "running" but it is merely a placeholder and the information has reverted to outdated information from 2017. I will do my best to get it rebuilt this weekend. Thank you for your patience. In the meantime, please email me for an appointment: schedule.keelinstudio@gmail.com

Public Service Vaccine Announcement (Phase 1b)

Dear Patients:

This announcement is to inform you that New Hampshire residents in Phase 1b will be able to register and schedule appointments with the State's public vaccination clinics beginning Friday, January 22 at 8:00am. Vaccinations will begin Tuesday, January 26. The registration and scheduling process for vaccination varies depending on prioritization criteria and location of vaccination clinic:

Persons 65 years of age and older should register to be vaccinated at a fixed site by visiting https://vaccines.nh.gov (or call 2-1-1 if no internet access)

Persons under 65 years of age who are prioritized due to medical conditions need to register through their healthcare provider to confirm eligibility and facilitate vaccination.

All vaccinations will take place at one of the Stateโ€™s vaccine clinic sites. When you register for your vaccine, you will have an option to select a site that is most convenient for you. Please check with your P*P if you have any questions or concerns regarding the vaccination.

You do not need a doctorโ€™s order or a referral to register for your COVID-19 vaccine if you are 65 years or older.

Be well, stay well!

I want to thank each of you for the support of my business since reopening in May! 2020 has thrown some interesting challenges to small businesses and I am humbled to have had such support in these times. We had a very busy summer and I am so thankful to have been able to serve so many of you. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

In preparation for the end of the year, I will be closing the clinic for a period of three weeks beginning 12/14 and extending until 1/4. This will allow me time to rest and rejuvenate as well as quarantine before a Christmas celebration with my family. ๐ŸŽ„

๐ŸŒฑ I am also VERY excited to announce that starting in January, the clinic will be offering a line of CBD products to help support your wellness needs. Stay tuned for more information ๐ŸŒฑ

While physical therapy services were always considered essential, in March, I made the difficult decision to close in order to protect my family and our community. I am happy to announce that I will be re-opening on a limited schedule to welcome patients starting the week of May 11th. There will be some changes to how I schedule and I ask that people abide by the following guidelines:

1) Only one patient will be allowed in the clinic at a time, please only arrive at your scheduled time so as to avoid congregating in the waiting area. If you arrive early, please wait to enter the clinic until the previous patient has left.

2) All patients are asked to wear a mask at all times, I will do the same. I will have face masks available for all patients who do not have their own.

3) I will be scheduling people every 45 minutes instead of every 30. This will allow for each patient to have a full treatment as well as time to check out and schedule follow-ups, and allow me time to fully disenfect every area while abiding by the "one patient in the clinic" guideline.

I am happy to once again be able to see you for all of your physical therapy needs. Please contact me via schedule.keelinstudio@gmail.com to schedule your appointment.

Keelin Studio will remain closed through May 4th.

Hi everyone,
As this pandemic continues to keep everyone in limbo with plans, I am writing to let you know that after today (3/17), I have made the decision to close the clinic until at least April 6th in step with Governor Sununu's recommendations for schools, restaurants, and other non-essential services. I will continue to monitor the situation and will update you as needed.

If you have appointments scheduled during this time, I will be reaching out to each of you individually as well.

Please note that this decision is not made lightly. Closing for a period of time is hard for any small business, but it is one that I feel is best for the health and safety of the community at this time. My decision was made with feedback from the American Physical Therapy Association, other healthcare providers in this area, and in discussion with my family.

I hope to see you all back on my table soon. Stay healthy and take this time to refocus on what matters, slow down, and spend time with the people you hold most dear.
Wishing you well, ~Kim

COVID-19 UPDATE FOR KEELIN STUDIO

In light of the current Covid-19 situation, I feel it is important for each of us to do our part to limit the transmission of this virus as much as possible. While the number of cases are currently 0 in our immediate area, and there is no reason to panic, there are multiple steps we can each take to try to limit exposure risks to this and other conditions that have caused such an overburden on healthcare facilities around the globe. We each must do our part to keep our community healthy.
To that end, effective immediately, the following policies are in effect for the clinic:

1) If you have traveled to any of the countries listed by the CDC (see link here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/after-travel-precautions.html ) I ask that you not schedule an appointment until you have been home and without any symptoms for 14 days.

2) If you have a fever or signs of illness, please cancel your appointment until you are well.

3) Please use the hand sanitizer provided in the waiting room or use the restroom to wash your hands upon arrival.

These measures, in addition to the disinfecting that is already done as part of my regular routine, will remain in place until further notice. This is my way of helping to "flatten the curve" as much as possible. For information on what it means to "flatten the curve" please check out the following article: https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2020/03/13/814602553/coronavirus-faqs-for-the-week-of-3-7-whats-flattening-the-curve-should-i-travel

When it's right, you know it. Grateful to spend an evening back together with these wonderful women. Missing our days of working together under one roof but our hearts are happy, our bellies are full, and our abs are tired from all the laughs.
