Skidompha Library offers a lot of great resources ….AND ….and opportunity to support community members via 🥫food pantry collection during Early Bird event this Saturday.

📰Their newsletter says “…. Next, Skidompha Library and the Skidompha Bookshop will be participating in the Damariscotta Early Bird on November 1st. Skidompha Library will open at 6am and will be accepting items for our Little Free Pantry. This fall could be exceptionally difficult for many people, and I urge you, if you plan on visiting Skidompha that morning, to please bring something for our pantry. We will be accepting non-perishable goods and personal grooming and hygiene items. Remember, we’re all in this together….”

Our sale on bulk Honeycrisp starts today! They are available for $1.75/ lb in half bushel( 20 +/- lbs) bags. Honeycrisp are great keepers so this is an awesome deal! We don't know how long this sale will last, so pick up a bag or two soon.

Here is the 2025 Lincoln Academy Homecoming Schedule! Spirit week starts Monday with Dress Up Days and games during the school day. Homecoming events for the public start Thursday with the homecoming cross country meet, and continue Friday with the parade and field hockey game, Saturday with 4 home soccer games, and Sunday with the traditional golf scramble. Let's go Eagles!

🌞The hot weather is here and we want you to enjoy it while keeping your skin and body healthy! Its important to always apply sunscreen with at least SPF 15 or higher, reapply regularly, and wear protective clothing like hats and sunglasses. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and seek shade during peak sun hours (10 AM – 4 PM). Avoid tanning and take breaks to give your skin a rest from direct sun exposure. Fun fact💡Our skin is our largest organ, it's important, so lets protect it!

🧐What to Do If You Get a Tick Bite

Got a tick bite? 🐜 Don’t panic—just follow these three quick steps to protect your health and get back to enjoying your time outside 🌼

1. Remove the tick as soon as you can
Use tweezers or a tick spoon and pull straight out. It’s okay if the head stays behind—just clean the area with soap and water 🧼

2. Try to identify the tick
Deer ticks (black spot behind the head) can carry disease. Dog ticks (white spot) don’t. Need help? We’ve got a visual guide for you 👀

3. Watch for symptoms for 30 days
Keep an eye out for:
🤒 Fever or chills
🦵 Joint or muscle pain
😴 Fatigue
🧠 Headache or confusion
