Bee Nourished is a healthy living and weight-loss initiative founded by certified health coach (IIN), Aayah Khalaf, that transforms women and especially mother’s lives through personalized health coaching programs. While on her own weight loss and health journey Aayah experienced many of the same stresses, women, especially mothers, regularly suffer from. The extreme dieting, the impractical changes demanded of her lifestyle, the lack of personalization to her specific needs as a mother; many of the programs that promised her results were just not working. Her frustration with this reality motivated her to go back to school and learn for herself what it means to live a truly healthy life. In her time at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, she was trained in over 100 dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods. Constipated in Ramadan ?

Here are 5 tips to help relieve constipation:

1- consume kefir or fermented drinks
2- Take a probiotic
3- Add 1 Tbsp of chia to your water
4- consume fruits high in water and fiber
5- Try prunes and prune juice

3 Reasons Why You Are Struggling with Low Energy During Ramadan and How to Fix Them!

👉🏽 1- Hydration is the key to life, every cell in our body needs hydration to function properly, which is not a very easy job while fasting in Ramadan.

but here are some tips to make it better:

✅ Keep a big jug of water next to you and keep sipping on it from Iftar to suhour

✅ Avoid high sugar and high salt foods because those can dehydrate the body even more

✅ Consume drinks that have electrolytes and minerals to rehydrate the body like coconut water

👉🏽 2- No warm-up

✅ Your digestive system works a little bit like the rest of your body, it needs to warm up before it can function properly. if you have been sitting at home all day long and you suddenly go out and run so fast you will probably cramp up

✅ The same goes for your stomach fasting long hours and then suddenly stuffing yourself with heavy foods in big amounts will cause your digestive system to struggle, which will cause cramps, indigestion and fatigue because your body will focus all its power on your digestive system!

👉🏽 3- Detoxing

✅ During dry fasting your body actually undergoes heavy detoxing as well as cell regeneration, all of that amazing stuff is going on in the background without you even knowing but it can take a toll on your body especially the first few days of fasting.

✅ So, eating a diet that supports detoxification can reduce unwanted symptoms and help your body recover and regenerate faster

I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on that’s very dear to my heart and maybe part of why I haven’t been showing up here as often lately 🙂
But trust me, it’s been worth it.

Many of you know that for the past two years, I’ve been part of something really special, alhamdulillah.

A dream to raise confident, grounded Muslim youth, strong in their faith and fully prepared to thrive academically, led to the founding of RISE, Risalah School of Excellence, here in the Seattle area.

RISE is an Islamic middle and high school created to protect our children’s faith while offering strong, competitive academics. As an IB school, it blends deep Islamic studies, Arabic, and Qur’an education with a rigorous academic program that prepares students for college and beyond.

The journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been incredibly rewarding. Alhamdulillah, we’ve completed Phases 1 and 2, and now we’re stepping into a major growth phase. Our goal is to secure a permanent home for RISE, a campus designed for our students to learn, pray, and grow in a space that truly supports their spiritual, academic, and emotional development. This next stage also includes expanding the high school program and building an endowment for long term sustainability.

RISE served 10 students in its first year, 30 in its second, and inshaAllah we’re projected to serve 60 students next year. Seeing this growth has been deeply humbling and a sign of the trust families are placing in this vision.

As we move forward, we’re inviting those who believe in this mission to be part of an ongoing sadaqah jariyah, helping preserve the faith and fitrah of our youth as they prepare for the future. Every dollar goes directly toward advancing the school’s mission, with transparency and care.
