Congratulations to Kailee Marshall, Oklahoma School Counselor of the Year 2026!
The Oklahoma School Counselor Association is proud to announce that Kailee Marshall, School Counselor at Roosevelt Middle School in Oklahoma City, has been named the 2026 Oklahoma School Counselor of the Year. This prestigious recognition celebrates Kaileeโs unwavering commitment to students, her exceptional leadership, and her passion for creating meaningful change in her school community.
Kailee has served as a School Counselor at Roosevelt Middle School for the past four years. Prior to becoming a counselor, she spent two years in the classroom as a teacher before earning her Master of Education in School Counseling. She is currently continuing her professional journey by working toward licensure as a Professional Counselor, further demonstrating her dedication to growth and service.
Known for her dedication and leadership, it has been said that Kailee โworks tirelessly to create a school culture that is inclusive, supportive, and focused on the holistic development of all students.โ She leads with integrity, compassion, and a deep belief in the potential of every student - qualities that shine through in every interaction, initiative, and program she champions.
Through hard work, vision, and strong collaboration, Kailee and her school counseling team achieved remarkable success this year. They earned the OSCAR award from the Oklahoma School Counselor Association in October 2025 and went on to receive the highly respected Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) designation from the American School Counselor Association in February 2026 - an accomplishment that reflects excellence in implementing a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program.
As the Oklahoma School Counselor of the Year, Kailee will now be considered for the American School Counselor Association School Counselor of the Year award at the national level. She will be honored by ASCA in Washington, D.C. in February 2027 and will represent Oklahoma at the ASCA Annual Conference in Columbus, Ohio, in summer 2027.
