We are so excited to have Kailee with us!

📣 Exciting Announcement from Tri-City Family Counseling!

We are thrilled to welcome Kailee Marshall, LPC Candidate, to our team of mental health professionals!

As many of you know, our waitlist for services has grown significantly—making this addition all the more meaningful. Kailee brings exceptional experience and a strong personal connection to our practice, and we are confident she will be a valuable resource for our community.

Kailee earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Oklahoma City University in 2019, followed by a Master of Education in School Counseling in 2022 and a Certificate in Professional Counseling in 2024, both from the University of Central Oklahoma.

With three years as a classroom educator and another three as a School Counselor, Kailee was recently part of the team named 2024 Oklahoma City Public Schools Counseling Team of the Year.

Raised in Newcastle, Kailee’s return to Tri-City Family Counseling feels like a homecoming. She previously worked at Tri-City Family Care in her youth and is the daughter of Founders/Providers Jeramiah Walker, APRN-CNP, and Aimee Walker, LPC.

We are so excited to have Kailee back with us and can’t wait to see the positive impact she will make.

Nurse practitioners like Jeramiah often work long hours, dedicating themselves fully to their patients’ well-being. This commitment to healthcare can be rewarding but also time-consuming, leaving less time for hobbies like fishing.

Being a dedicated NP demands focus, constant learning, and emotional resilience—all of which can take up mental energy that might otherwise be directed toward relaxation and hobbies. But even if his skills on the water have suffered a little 🤣, we still think he is a great catch!

Nurse practitioners (NPs) are essential in patient education, often dedicating time to help patients understand their health conditions, treatments, and self-care. Through addressing questions and fostering a supportive environment, NPs empower patients to take control of their health, which leads to improved outcomes and higher patient satisfaction.

Jeramiah is passionate about educating his patients at Tri-City Family Care. In 2016, he further demonstrated his commitment to healthcare by joining a medical mission trip to Haiti. Together with his colleague and friend, Dr. Jason Leinen, Jeramiah provided medical clinics in four villages over three days, treating over 100 children in each village, as well as numerous adults. He found the experience profoundly rewarding, building connections with the people of Haiti and making a meaningful impact on their health.

NPs can specialize in areas such as family practice (FNP), pediatrics (PNP), psychiatry/mental health (PMHNP), women’s health, geriatrics, and acute care. Although Jeramiah specialized in Family Practice, we all feel his true specialty is people. Every day, we hear from his patients about how Jeramiah listens with care and truly hears them. We encourage you to take time this week to reach out to Jeramiah and let him know how much you appreciate him.

This week is National Nurse Practitioners’ Week. In Oklahoma, nurse practitioners (NPs) are highly trained advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) who can provide a range of healthcare services similar to those of physicians. They hold advanced degrees, typically a master’s or doctorate, and are licensed to diagnose and treat various medical conditions, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications. Let’s show our favorite NP some love this week.
